My Gym

A few weeks ago, Anabella and Daniel attended a birthday party at My Gym in Alexandria. The celebration was in honor of Jason, the 2-year old son of my friend Cheryl. Cheryl and I met while we were both teachers at Washington Irving M.S. in Springfield. We became fast friends! A few years later, we were roommates at Avalon at Fair Lakes, and have been good friends ever since.

It's been nearly ten years since our Irving days, and we're both married and have children the same age. Though we're no longer picking our favorite American Idol on Tuesday nights, enjoying Happy Hours on Fridays, and having breakfast together in our PJs on Saturdays, it's pretty cool that we can get together and swap toddler stories and know that we're not boring each other to death! And, it's even cooler, when we can get the kids together and watch them share fun experiences, which was the case as we celebrated Jason's 2nd birthday at My Gym!

Jason takes weekly classes at My Gym; so needless to say, he walked around liked it was, in fact, his gym!  He was cute as ever at all the activities, but my personal favorite was watching him on the trampoline!!

Anabella loves bubbles. I mean, LOVES bubbles. Only today she was more amused by herself in the big mirror!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Jason!! We sure had fun celebrating with you at your fun birthday party!
