One of the things we enjoy doing as a family is hiking. The kids love being in the woods, searching for that perfect stick and just walking the trails.
We went a few times this past winter when the weather wasn't too cold and when we needed a dose of fresh air. The scenery was a bit bleak, but the smiles from these two cuties kept us all feeling pretty cheery.

We were disappointed to hear last time we were there that the overlook at the top of Bull Run Mountain is under renovation. Every time we went this past winter (we didn't discover these trails till this past fall) we talked about how in the spring we WERE going to make it to the top of the mountain.
Here's to more hikes....and the search for more sticks....in the near future!
