Belle's First Snowman

Dan's been getting some of his own posts lately with his Home Depot workshop creations, so it's time Belle gets one of her own as well.

Especially considering what she did.

This girl built herself a snowman! ALL by herself.

This was day 4 following the blizzard. With Sunday (the day we shoveled being day 1 even though it was really day 3). The kids sledded most of days 1 and 2 and a little on day 3. By the time day 4 came around, the neighbors weren't out, but the kids still wanted to play. They wanted me to text, but usually whoever does the inviting has to do the "watching" (even if from inside), so we didn't want to do that because quite frankly we were over the snow.

So.....if they wanted to go out, they were on their own. And had to stay in our yard. Dan was in after a few minutes.

But Belle stayed out. Equipped with her snowman kit, she was building a snowman.

Chip watched her from the window. Kept peeking out to check on her. This being our girl who usually isn't a fan of playing outside. Particularly by herself. And especially in the cold. Though I don't think the cold bothers her much because they did some serious sledding the days before. Like hours of sledding.

How amazing is that?!! That's one determined little girl. So proud. I even put it on Facebook. Go, Belle!!
