It was nice waking up already in the city on the 4th of July so we didn't have to travel.

| We took Metro to the parade. |

| Boy was it ever hot. And humid. Ugh. We didn't stay for the entire parade. An hour and a half and we'd had enough. It was a great parade, just too long in the heat! |

| We found USA fidget spinners at a street cart on the way back to the hotel. They were elated! |

| Took Metro back to the Mall that evening for fireworks. |

| Not really any bad spots to watch fireworks from the National Mall. We were afraid it might rain but it didn't . |

| Cuties! Belle couldn't find her PJs from the night before so she wore Dan's top and he wore the bottom. |

| The next day it rained, so while we had planned to do some sightseeing we came home instead. Fun little getaway! |
