For the 4th this year, we decided to do the National Mall. It's close to home, but given traffic, we figured we'd be better off spending the night in the city. And since we can't just spend one night, we booked 2 nights and left early on July 3rd for our little mini 4th close to home vacay.

| We took an Uber to a Thai restaurant where we ate outside and Dan commented that it was a bit "duh huh" noticing the paper placemats.....lol, these kids don't miss a beat! The food was good, but it wasn't quite as classy as some other restaurants, Dan was right. |
