First Snow Day

I'd rather the first snow of the season fall on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

This year's first snow was on a Saturday. So while we didn't get a day off from school (so it wasn't an "official" snow day), it was a beautiful snow and a great way to spend a cozy Saturday.

As usual, kids could hardly wait to get out there, so out they went (while it was still snowing). It might have been a dusting, but they found ways to enjoy it. They sledded, made a (mini) snowman, and had a grand ol' time as usual. 

Solomon & I prefer to nest inside.

Dan can't ever get quite close enough to the fire. 

Our neighbors spent the night that night because their parents had their work party. 

Here they are (trying) to sled the next day.
So sad, isn't it?
By Monday, it was completely gone.
No delay, nothing.
But it's still early.....so bring on more snow!!
