Christmas Day

We told the kids no earlier than 6:30 on Christmas morning, so guess what time they woke us up?!

6:28 am

We forgot to remind the kids that they couldn't go down before 6:30 either, so they actually went down before we had a chance to get ready and had been down before that even! Those stinkers!! Next year we will review Christmas morning rules on Christmas Eve. ha! 

Dan had found their "together" gifts and had already determined what might be the XBox One he was hoping for. 

He unwrapped his rocker first and then sat in it while opening his gifts. 

Belle's like, "toothpaste?" Lol. Hey, it's watermelon toothpaste!
They love their stockings. 

Anabella likes everything sensory, so the modeling clay was a hit along with her squishies....which was about the only thing she asked for this year.

I'm really terrible at getting pictures while opening gifts. It's hard to be in the moment when you're trying to photograph it! ha!  

They each got a few surprises, but their big gift from Santa this year was an Xbox One.
Besides her squishies, Anabella said her favorite surprise was the Sharpies and construction paper. Daniel loves the XBox most of all and his favorite surprise was Minecraft game he got for it. 

Belle is so sweet. She put these notes in our stockings.

I also got a new set of charms for my Pandora necklace that I got last year and a NorthFace jacket.

After they opened their Santa gifts, they each opened a few gifts from us (namely, books and clothes). And a new pair of snow boots. 

Belle mentioned on PJ day at school that she'd like a "onsie." I didn't even know there was such thing, but apparently they're quite popular as they were sold out at Target of the unicorn one she wanted. I ordered this one (and Dan's) from Gymboree and they both loved them. 

Dan liked his Lego book Daddy picked out for him at the bookfair.

They were excited to set up the XBox. 

Solomon loved his new bones! 

We ate a little breakfast of baked french toast and then headed to Granny's for brunch. 

Dan opened his gifts from Granny before we had a chance to find our phones for pictures. 

Belle got the shoes she wanted which she told Maw about and didn't even mention to me. She described them to Maw and Allie figured out what they were since her kids all have them - sure enough, it was a pair of Sperry's. This girl! A fashionista at 7 years!! 

She also got a new pair of earrings (and of course some lipgloss and lotion). 

Always hard to get Granny opening hers and this isn't the best picture, but here she is with the personalized frame I made her "Four Generations of Rose" with our names on the bottom. Now we just need an updated picture for it! 

Next stop was Mom and Dad's.

Dan was excited about his new Ninjago castle and he and Hayden both loved their new matching Nerf guns. Dan was so cute on the way home. He said, "Wow, I got a lot of nice gifts. That's my biggest Nerf gun ever." ha!  

Anabella's big gift was an American Girl bed, but she was really excited about this Dream Tent, which was something she had mentioned wanting. She also got some new earrings and some Justice clothes, which she loved. 

Aunt Julie & Uncle Greg got this pillow for Anabella. 

And this truck that moves along a track that you make for it.

Donald and his family joined us for dinner. We didn't get many pictures but it was a happy day and Merry Christmas for all!
