Day 6: Disneyworld

A trip to Orlando would not be complete without a trip to the Magic Kingdom, so that is where we went on Day 6!

We got there when it opened and the boys RAN to Space Mountain as this was one attraction we knew Daniel would love and we thought we could beat the line that way. Sure enough, only 45 minute wait as opposed to 120+ the rest of the day. Only bad thing about Disney during Spring Break. 

Belle and I took a leisurely walk in taking in the beauty of the castle and stopping at customer service to link the passes Dennis gave us so we could get 3 fast passes. 

All the fast passes were booked, but we did manage these three at least. 

As expected, Dan loved Space Mountain!

heeheee.....while they were there, we rode one of my favorites.

Next stop: we met the boy's at Tomorrowland and did the Raceway.

Here we are the Monsters Inc show.
We kinda lucked out here. We were in line to see the show and they had "technical difficulties" so we were asked to leave. On the way out, they gave us a "fast pass" which we learned we could use on ANY ride. So, after we did the Peoplemover, it was back open, so we walked right on with no need for the fastpass so we saved our FastPass and used it later for the Haunted Mansion, which the kids really want to do but had a 90 minute wait. Score! 

I always enjoy the Carousel of Progress in Tomorrowland.
I think the kids did, too. 

By this time, we were ready for lunch so we at the Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland.

After lunch, we used our FastPass for The Little Mermaid.

Then, we watched the Philar Magic 3-D show.

It was getting hot by this point and the lines were all LONG. Like 100+ minutes long, so we booked it home and took a nap so that we could return refreshed and ready to stay late for the fireworks and castle light show.

We actually ALL fell asleep and had a nice relaxing nap and were ready to shut down the park!

We didn't get any pictures that morning because we were in such a hurry to get in, so we took this opportunity to get the obligatory family Disney pictures. 

We used our FastPass for Pirates of the Carribbean after we got some dinner.

Swiss Family Robinson tree house anyone?

The wait for this was down to 65 minutes but we had our FastPass so we used it.

By the time we finished there, the kids were ready for a dessert, so we secured a great spot for castle show and got some dessert to enjoy while we were waiting. 

The castle lit up to music and then fireworks was really amazing.

After that, we used our FastPass that we had reserved earlier for Peter Pan's Flight.

We kept trying some of the other attractions wait times, but we just couldn't see waiting the 120+ minutes so we ended back up in Tomorrowland and did the PeopleMover again (lol, Belle loves the peoplemover.....heeeheee).....we got in line for the Mine Train but the kids started getting cranky after about 10 minutes (wait time was 110), so we called it a fun day and headed back. 

It wasn't quite closing (midnight), but it was pretty late and the kids both knocked out just as soon as we hit the road. FUN Disney day for sure!!
