Originally, the Credles were coming along with us, and we were going to take the kids to Sesame Place on Sunday. With our passes to Busch, we get free admission to Sesame, a theme park just outside of Philadelphia. Glen Mills is only about a half hour from Sesame, and since we'd been hoping to make a trip there this summer anyway, we thought we could make a weekend of it and hit Sesame on Sunday before returning home.
As we got closer to the wedding date, and began planning in a little more detail, we decided we might be taking on more than one weekend (and 2 kids, 2 parents & 2 grandparents) could handle. Turns out, we made the right decision.
Traffic out of the city was even worse than we expected, and what should have been a four hour trip turned into a seven hour one. In fact, we ended up arriving to rehearsal an hour late, which turned out fine since it didn't start on time anyway.
But, boy, were we grateful to know that Daniel and Anabella were running around outside in the sunshine, instead of sitting cramped in a car seat all afternoon as the GPS navigated us through town after town in an effort to avoid the standstill on I-95.
After spending Friday at Busch Gardens, on Saturday, Anabella and Daniel visited a park in Poquoson, the town where their Daddy grew up, and then visited their grandparent's friends at their home, which is also in Daddy's hometown. They have dogs AND cats, and while the kids have been around dogs their entire life, they've only seen cats in books and in passing in our neighbor's yard. According to the Credles, Daniel was particularly intrigued with the cat and enjoyed petting its soft fur.
They ate at all their favorite restaurants (Chick-fil-a, Taco Bell, Wendy's) and enjoyed the beautiful weather by playing outside, riding their trikes, and walking the dogs throughout the neighborhood. Anabella helped MaMa water the flowers, while Daniel rode his trike to the square with PaPa. They even ate outside, a favorite for both now that the weather is warm.

While Daniel and Anabella were being spoiled by MaMa and PaPa, Chip and I had a great weekend away enjoying some quality time with one another, while also catching up with some of Chip's friends who we hadn't seen a long time. Despite the traffic on the way there Friday, the weekend was slow paced and relaxing. The weather was perfect on Friday and Sunday, but Saturday was overcast and rainy.
Sarah and Chris got married at Sarah's parent's house outside in the garden. The rain let up just long enough for the ceremony to take place, following a half hour rain delay.
