I am so proud of our little guppy swimmers who took four weeks of lessons (minus the one week we were at the lake) as part of the guppy swim program with our neighborhood's swim team, Bridlewaves. They finished with a "mini-meet" where they swam freestyle and backstroke against other swimmers from a nearby neighborhood.

Belle came in 3rd place. Go, Belle!!
They both had more trouble with the backstroke (most of the kids did- that's hard!) but they did great. This is Dan.
Belle's coach had a family emergency and had to leave. She was sad not to get to say good-bye. Here she is doing the backstroke with a fill in coach.
Some kids left, but they wanted to stay for the relay. The meet started at 6 and ended around 8pm.
They let them use noodles for the relay, probably because they were so worn out!
They made sweet thank you cards for their coaches (along with a small Starbucks card).

Hooray for a fun swim season!!
I think I see more swim meets in our future.
