Lake Gaston

We took our annual family vacation to Lake Gaston in July this year, which was great because Chip was able to be there the entire week.

As always, we had a blast!

While the boys were fishing, Anabella found all these shells.

Allie surprised the kids with the game Pie in the Face that first night. It was So fun! The grown ups (and kids except for ours who were asleep) played Gestures (similar to charades) the next night. That was super fun, too. Good thinking, Allie! 

Dan was first to get a pie in the face and he handled it like a champ. 

The kids had a great time on the paddle boards. 

Almost 40 year olds can get up on paddle boards, too. Who knew?! 

Good thing someone was quick with the camera! I didn't hold that position long. It's harder than it looks. 

Daddy's milkshakes were a hit!

We couldn't find the hand mixer for the potatoes, but we made do. 

As you can see, Allie was quite wound up that evening.
