Spring Break: Back to Busch Gardens

We had a bit of an unusual Spring Break this year. Besides that it was unseasonably cold, we passed around a stomach virus the first half of the week. Fortunately, we were all well in time for Easter, but it sure did dampen the mood around here the first part of the week.  We made a trip or two to the grocery store, but other than that, we really didn't leave the house until late Wednesday afternoon when we mustered just enough energy to pack our bags and head to the Credles.

On Thursday, with the help of MaMa and PaPa (Chip and I were running on pure adrenaline considering we had little else in our bodies), we made a return trip to Busch Gardens. We weren't feeling 100%, but neither of us could disappoint the kids, as they were so looking forward to returning to "Busch" as they call it.

First Stop: Sesame Street's Forest of Fun

Just like last year, we had to wear jackets (but you know I'll take that to summer humidity any day!)

Dan couldn't wait to ride this roller coaster again!

On to the Land of the Dragons- this is probably their favorite (especially since the fountains at Sesame Street weren't on yet due to the weather).

They both love climbing this big tree house and walking over the bridge.

Always fun to play and hide in dinosaur eggs

A trip to Busch Gardens is never complete without a ride in the Eggery Deggery, a ferris wheel type attraction. 

Dan and I had fun making funny faces while we were waiting for the ride to start. 

We also rode the chair lift, which is one of Anabella's favorites.  I left early to return to the Credles and pick up the dogs so that we could leave for home straight from Busch Gardens and not have to back track (saving us about an hour).

While it was a short trip, we had a good time, and I'm glad we were able to go even if it was for only one night.  MaMa and PaPa are usually not here on Easter, as they're usually on their way home from Florida, so this was one of the first times since the kids have been born that we've seen them so close to Easter. MaMa made them each an Easter basket, and they had fun finding eggs (with candy!) in the front yard. MaMa even had an Easter tree in the front yard, with colorful eggs dangling from the branches. Wish I would have gotten more pictures, but this is all I have .
