Visit with MaMa & PaPa

The Credles offered to keep the dogs while we were at the lake. They were happy to do it, to say the least, as about the only thing in the world they love more than their grandchildren is their granddogs. It was win win for all because we couldn't take them with us, and the dogs love visiting MaMa & PaPa because they get lots of walks and lots of treats!

A few days after we returned from the lake, we met up to exchange the dogs for the kids so they could take their turn being spoiled for a few days.

While they usually spend most of their time during the summer months with MaMa & PaPa at Busch Gardens or Water Country, this time the weather didn't cooperate on that first day so they went to the Mariner's Museum, where MaMa volunteers (yay for complimentary passes!), to check out the new dinosaur exhibit.  MaMa has been wanting to take them here for a while now, so it was a perfect thing to do on a rainy day.

Apparently they were so intrigued with this boat that following their trip to the museum they went to a marina where they visited PaPa's friend who lives on a boat and toured that one as well.

Here they are back at home opening their "goodies" (a.k.a MaMa's thrifty yard sale & thrift store finds- she's a little like a scientist herself digging in those bins looking for goodies for her sweet grandchildren- and they sure do appreciate them- they love their goodies!).

That night they went to the Thai restaurant in Port Warwick, which they love now as much as we do!

The next day they spent the morning and early afternoon at Busch Gardens. Then, believe it or not, they went to Water Country that afternoon.

While Dan & MaMa rode the roller coaster, Grover's Alpine Express, Anabella rode this flume in Bert & Ernie's Loch Adventure.

Another favorite of Anabella's- the Little Gliders.

They also rode some new rides this trip like the bumper cars and the airplanes. They said it was a perfect day for the park because there were no lines and the kids could even ride multiple times.  About mid afternoon, they went to Water Country for a few hours before returning home for baths and then dinner out followed by a summer concert in the square there in Port Warwick. All without naps! I can't even imagine. I can believe it when PaPa said they didn't hear as much as a peep after turning the lights out that night.

The next morning they had breakfast and then met me late morning in Ashland for the final exchange. This time I rode home with all four prizes (kids and dogs)!
