Spring Break Day 7: Cocoa Beach

We'd talked about going to Sea World's waterpark, Aquatica on Thursday, but because we'd gotten so much sun the day before we decided against it and planned a sightseeing/shopping day instead.

First stop: Ron Jon
I've never been a surf shop kinda gal, but Daddy thinks this place is way cool and since he doesn't voice an opinion on too much (or spend money unwisely), I couldn't stay no when he insisted we get Daniel and Anabella a shirt. 

It was a pretty cool store. Kids loved the glass elevator.

Daniel got a Ron Jon t-shirt and cap. I must say he looks way cool in it. :) He's cool and doesn't even know it! The Amazing Spiderman shirt and Ron Jon hat. He'll be coolest kid in Gainesville! All of PW County! 

How can you not eat lunch where you can get a steakburger and fries for under $4?
Not to mention milkshakes, which are the bomb (see how Ron Jon made me cool- "the bomb" who says that? cool moms who shop at Ron Jon, that's who).
Chip always got chocolate. I had the chocolate chip cookie dough once and butterfinger the second time. Kids had Oreo the first time (they didn't like it much though), so Anabella got chocolate this time. Daniel's not much of an ice cream or milkshake kinda kid. He only likes Granny's sherbet floats.  He passed up a shake this visit.

After Steak & Shake, we did some more shopping at one of my all time favorite Florida stores: Bealls! Bargain central, man. You can get 5 shirts at Bealls Outlet for what you pay for one at Ron Jon. ha! Okay, maybe not that many. It's kinda like our Ross store. Bargains but you have to try everything on because there's a lot of irregulars. Chip found a pair of swim trunks and Dan got a Captain America shirt made out of the material that he loves. I also got him a swim shirt for Aquatica. I packed Anabella's but must have forgotten his.

We had promised to visit Nana, Lynn and Dennis again before we left Florida, so stopped by there for a brief visit on our way home.

When we pulled in, before I even had a chance to unfasten my seatbelt, Anabella was running up to the front porch ready to see Nana! Nana ate it up, too. 

That evening we laid low and just enjoyed some family time in the room, and the kids enjoyed another whirlpool bath.

It's amazing what a little aloe and lotion will do....their sunburns were already looking better, and we were excited for some water park action on Friday!
