Disney part 2: Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios, here we come!! 

These two were in such good moods all day. Hardly a complaint or nitpick from either one of them. On the way to Hollywood Studios, we told them we'd get ice cream when we got there since they had been so sweet all day.  

I suppose it's because we looked liked stars, but man, everywhere we went there was a photographer waiting to take our picture. ha! Actually it was a good thing because by the end of the day we had enough good pictures that it was worthwhile to buy the digital images from the entire day. 

The ice cream lines were loooonnnnnggg mid-day as you can imagine. The kids actually ended up wanting slushies instead of ice cream, which turned out to be a better choice as we drank them in line while waiting for the Great Movie Ride. 

Lines were long everywhere at this point, but shorter at Hollywood than the Magic Kingdom, which is why we decided to hit a few attractions there before going to MK later in the evening  Thanks to the MyDisney app we could view wait times for all the attractions at all the parks, which is why we picked and chose certain rides over others. Our goal was to maximize our experience and waste as little time as possible in lines (a difficult task given it was the busiest week of the year at Disney parks, second to week of Christmas). 

The Great Movie Ride was one of the shortest in the park (which is why we picked it), but it was still a good 30 minutes. It went pretty quickly though as we had slushees and some goldfish from the backpack to much on while we waited. The ride was 20 minutes though, so it was worth the 30 minute wait for a 20 minute ride.

It was an entertaining ride, too. For both kids and adults. See if you can recognize some of the scenes below:

Next, we stopped in for a showing of the Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
This was a really cute performance. 

Next stop dinner at Rosie's All American Cafe. 

Daniel saw a lightsaber that he really wanted, but when we got there to purchase it a lady told us that they use could design your own at the Magic Kingdom. Since we were heading there anyway, we decided to wait until later. Chip and Dan were going to go to the Star Wars exhibit while Belle and I went to Beauty & the Beast but the line for Star Wars was 120 minutes, so we decided to head out to Magic Kingdom and try our luck there.
