Spring Break Day 2: Pool, Visiting Family & Sea World

After a great night's sleep, we woke up early around 7:30 am. After some coffee in the room, we headed out for some breakfast at Keke's Breakfast Cafe.

Dan made glasses with the wiki sticks.

Belle made a bunny.

Dan made me a bracelet.

Or a mouth. 

It was rainy and overcast that morning, so after breakfast we stopped at Walmart and picked up a few provisions, such as sunscreen and junk food! Excuse my no makeup face (it was vacation!). 

It had started to clear off, and the kids just couldn't wait to get to the pool so that's what we did.

After literally bathing ourselves in sunscreen, it was off the pool for us!

It was plenty warm that day (unlike the forecast for the next day) but we still had the pool mostly to ourselves. 

We had planned to visit Chip's great aunt, Ann, and his second cousin, Lynn, and her husband Dennis who live in Orlando later that afternoon. We arrived around 4pm. Dennis had a taste test set up for the kids with 5 types of soda.

Following that, they went outside where he had set up his own little game which turned out to be a mix of croquet and soccer.

Kids had so much fun. He even had a mouse trap at the "finish line." You can image how much fun they had with that.

Like last year, we ordered pizza for dinner. 

Because children don't forget a thing, they could hardly wait to get out the paper towels to start the crowning. 

This year they made Lynn the princess. 

Ann was crowned queen. 

We left around 6:30pm. We debated going back "home" but then decided to make a short stop at Sea World first.

Because our BG platinum passes give us free admission and free parking, we literally walked right in. A family who was leaving for the day offered up their stroller; and while we really didn't need it as the park was closing at 9pm, the kids were happy to ride to Antartica (the exhibit Anabella couldn't wait to return to).

While we were in line, Chip was taking pictures and putting them into the new Sea World app frames. Cool new feature! 

While we were in line (after waiting about 15 minutes), they announced that the ride was having "technical difficulties" and they weren't sure when it would reopen. It seems like this same thing happened last year. I know it did. While we didn't get to do the ride, we were allowed in to see the "cute little penguins" which is really what Anabella wanted to see. 

Next, we went to the Atlantis water coaster. Daniel loved this last year, but he didn't want to ride it that night. Said it was too cold and he didn't want to get wet. It was starting to get a little chilly, and because we hadn't pack jackets, we decided to call it a night and left about 8:30pm. 

Super fun and pretty full first day in Florida!

Home and in bed for another full day tomorrow.....another Sea World park, only this time Busch Gardens....in Tampa!!
