Pre-Christmas

The kids were supposed to go to school Mon-Wed the week before Christmas, but after Monday we let them stay home since we were going to ICE on Tuesday and then Daniel had his second surgery on Wednesday in Georgetown to remove a mole.

Pre-surgery

Post-surgery - he was such a champ!

That afternoon we let them open their Christmas presents to each other.
Daniel and Daddy were walking through Lowes one day when Dan spotted this pink toolbox and said, "Look Daddy, Belle would like this." How sweet is that? And yep, she liked it. Loved it!
Good eye, Dan.

Daddy helped Belle pick something for Dan (also from Lowes). Two Build & Grow sets for him to put together. He did the Lowes car completely by himself (with us close by of course). Followed the directions himself, used his hammer and everything.

There he is holding the car he made.

This is what Daddy and Solomon do pre-Christmas!

The next day we let the kids open a few gifts from us.

Steelers jerseys!

And new shoes!

They also both got ornaments - Dan got a Captain America shield ornament and Belle got a Shopkin ornament.

It was so nice having an entire week with no school/work before Christmas.
Plenty of time to play, snuggle, read and watch movies!
We also went to Maw & Dee's one afternoon and did some baking. We made sugar cookies and everyone's favorite - peanut butter balls.

Sol said he really liked our Pre-Christmas week of leisure, too.
