More Early Christmas

Saturday morning helping PaPa with breakfast.

We opened gifts that morning before we went to Christmas Town.

Belle got a ballerina ornament the year and Daniel got a soccer boy. Dan's face cracks me up here.

This girl really does have a heart of gold. She wanted everyone to open presents. Including Solomon! In the middle of opening, after she'd delegated who would open and when, she decided it was time for Solomon to have his stocking. 

MaMaw collects nutcrackers, but she didn't have a lady nutcracker yet. Much less a dog walking lady. This could be MaMaw!

This was Daddy's gift idea. Apparently, LaRue always had reindeer antlers and a red nose on her car when Chip was growing up (back in the 80s when it was popular). But guess what?! Like every great fad, it's made a comeback. (Well sorta.) She loved it! 

Dan liked his remote control monster truck. 

Hey, I recognize this ornament! I gave the Credles this ornament back in 2007, one of our first Christmases pre-kids. Seems like forever ago, yet like yesterday at the same time.

Celebrating an Early Christmas made me really get my act together this year, which meant doing the calendars WAY early. Like before December! Which meant I had to glue December pictures onto that month. Seemed like a reasonable idea at the time, but 7 calendars later, um, not so much. Won't do that again. 

Mickey & Minnie nutcrackers!

I was tickled to find this frame because it reminded me so much of our fireside chat from Christmastown last year, and I knew their Santa picture would look great in it! And, it did! 

When Dan wasn't playing with his remote control truck, he played for the longest time with his superheroes, which he'd brought along in his backpack. 

Anabella & PaPa made a gingerbread house.

And this was all before noon! We had dining reservations for Santa's Fireside Feast at ChristmasTown at 1:30pm and we managed to convince the kids to "rest" an hour or so before we left. Boy, we fit a lot into the morning hours! Pictures from the second half of our day coming soon!
