The kids slept in on Christmas morning!
Of all mornings!
I think between NYC and then a late Christmas Eve, they were just worn out.
Solomon kept me company until Chip got up around 7am followed by Daniel at 7:30 and then finally a little before 8, Chip went up to check on Belle and ended up bringing her down.
We read The Christmas Story with Dan while we were waiting for Belle to get up.

Dan tried to pick what he thought was his Batman....
Turns out, it was Magnetix instead, but he liked this a lot, too!
Belle picked what she thought was her Minion, and it was! They both asked for one gift from Santa. Anabella wanted a Minion- this small one with one eye and a little hair on top. And, Daniel asked for a Batman batship. They know Santa brings other gifts too, but these are "surprises."

Dan was so excited about his Batman ship that he wanted to put Batman together right away!

Belle had moved onto her stocking. Look, it's a toothbrush!

Always thinking about others. That's this little girl's heart, and I love it. After she opened her stocking, she wanted to get Solomon his.

Still playing with Batman....we had to keep redirecting him back to the unopened gifts. ha!
Transformer, another favorite of Daniel's. He loves to build, take things apart and put back together, so Transformers are great for him.
This baby monkey which sucks its thumb was a Santa "surprise" but it turned out to be one of her favorite gifts she later said.
He really liked this model car, too.

New mousepad for work He also got new framed pictures for his office, some chocolate almonds, a calendar and some Caps magnets for work.
I got a pretty Pandora stocking for my bracelet, and two NYC ornaments that are hand painted. We ate a little breakfast (baked french toast which I'd made the night before) before having a larger brunch later at Granny's.
Anabella found Michael in the living room tree and was so so happy!
She thought about putting his PJs back on him but then decided to keep them safe for him instead. Later, she found the perfect place to keep them. Inside a little jewelry box that she keeps on her dresser.
Michael left them each a gift. Elves that pooped candy!

As we sat down for breakfast, Daniel brought over his Hulk Lego man and said he wanted to give it to Caleb since he already one. How sweet is that?! So, I got a little gift bag for him to put it in (only he had moved back to playing) so Anabella wrote Caleb's name on it.
Anabella wanted to give Hadley something, too, so she gave her an ornament she painted (and wrote her name on the bag).
Since we couldn't forget Reid, we found a Christmas picture that someone had colored and rolled it up for Reid. He's little so it's okay. It's the thought, right?
