Happy Halloween!

Halloween was on a Monday this year. Boo! 

But the good thing was that on Sunday we went to Mom and Dad's (drove straight from the Credles) for my birthday dinner and to carve pumpkins.

Dad had invited my Aunt Bo and her family and Uncle Donald and his family....see what I mean about it really being a "birthday month" this year?!! 

We had a great time talking and enjoying the beautiful weather and Dad grilled steaks for everyone and we had like 5 desserts. Yum, yum. Boy, did I ever feel special and loved!

And, boy, did the cousins have a blast carving their jack-o-lanterns!!

Halloween:

I swear the teachers gave the kids candy at school or something (even though they called it "Pumpkin Day" because they were WIRED when they got off the bus and could hardly wait to go trick or treating! 

Dan changed his mind at the last minute about what he wanted to be, and we ended up pulling together a "Leslie" costume for him, his new favorite character from the movie Princess Bride. The Captain America costume that I bought at Kohl's (since his other one was too small) will have to be for dress up or wait for next year. He didn't get to wear it to his buddy Liam's Halloween party like he had planned to either because he ended up waking up with strep throat that morning. 

Anabella decided to go as Catwoman this year (her other choice was SuperGirl but it was too uncomfortable she said). Unintentionally, they ended up looking a little like.....TWINS!! 

Were we spooky or what?! 

Every year the kids enjoy Halloween a little bit more and we stay out a little bit longer. This year we walked around with our neighbors from across the street and the kids had an absolute blast! 

I wish I had a better picture of the four of them. Lily was a donut. She had a MILK hat but by the time this was taken, it was off. 

The house one street over was decked out again this year but a little less scary than last year (as they didn't have the real person posing in the Jeep!).

People really get into Halloween! 

One and a half hours worth of trick or treating and a year's worth of candy!
